Chris has been playing the violin for as long as he can remember. He began playing at an early age and played his way through high school as well as in college. He has performed in the Valdosta Symphony Orchestra, Spivey Hall Chamber Orchestra, CCPAC, GMEA, Walt Disney World Music Scoring, and many workshops and masterclasses in the last 16 years. Chris is also the arranger for Ocdamia Strings and arranges all of the music we play today!

One of the core members of the Filipino American Symphony Orchestra (FASO) is cello player, Arthur Ocdamia. Better known as Art by his friends, he has over thirty years experience as a cello player and has been a member of five different orchestras in LA: the Cypress Pops Orchestra (since 1992), Bell Flower Symphony Orchestra (since 1993), La Mirada Symphony Orchestra (from 2000 to 2005), the South East Symphony Orchestra (since 2005) and the Filipino American Symphony Orchestra (FASO).

Margie oversees all aspects of Sales and Marketing for Ocdamia Strings. She plays a key role in the success of the company. Margie also oversees all of the Accounting for the company.
LaVette M. Allen/ Violist, Violinist
LaVette M. Allen/ Violist, Violinist
LaVette is a a native of Los Angeles, California and is a professional freelance violist/ violinist, arranger, composer and teacher. She earned her Bachelor of Music degree in Viola Performance and a Minor in Composition from the University of Iowa. While there, she studied viola with the renowned William Preucil, Sr. Upon graduating and returning to Los Angeles, she began studying with Richard Elegino of the L.A. Philharmonic and then Alan deVeritch of USC before he went on to teach at Indiana University, respectively. Ms. Allen performs with and is currently a member of several orchestras including Culver City Symphony, Peninsula Symphony, Glendale Philharmonic, M.E.S.T.O. and plays with numerous other groups when called to do so. She also has appeared in commercials, movies, music videos and does string arranging and records from time to time.

Born and raised in the Antelope Valley of Northern Los Angeles County, Laurann started her violin studies at the age of 8 when she began taking lessons at her school. From then on, she was consumed with her passion for music and composition. After a year of taking local lessons, her private teacher suggested she start taking lessons with someone in the Los Angeles area. She began studying with Julia Cser, who was a former concert master of the American Youth Symphony and also was taught by the current concert master of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Martin Chalifour. She then studied with Linda Rose, who was a graduate of Julliard and studied with Dorothy DeLay and Ivan Galamian. She participated in the Pasadena Youth Symphony Orchestra (PYSO) as a young teenager. During her time there, Laurann advanced through the string section and became concert master at age 13. PYSO provided her the opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall, Boston’s Fanueil Hall, and to participate in the Vienna International Youth Music Festival where her orchestra won 2nd place. She has also performed at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles and had many performances at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center. Laurann is currently teaching music lessons and in her last year as a Violin Performance major at Cal State Long Beach. She is an active member of the orchestra and the University String Quartet.

Lyubov "Luba" Solovyova/ Cellist
Lyubov Solovyova was born in Ukraine and has been playing cello since she was 7. During school age she has had several concert tours around Europe as a member of camber ensembles. At the age of 15 she got 4th place at the Youth International Competition in Moldova. Lyubov got her Masters Degree from Odessa State Academy as a soloist and was given tenura position and when promoted to assistant professor of chamber ensemble. In 2002 Lyubov won Grand Prix at Strings Competition in Lonigo (Italy), and several 1st and 2nd places as a part of the piano trio around Ukraine. For years she was an active member of Odessa State Chamber Orchestra and piano trio Sounds of Music. Lyubov arrived in the USA in 2008. Since then, she teaches cello and music theory in several music schools. Currently Lyubov is assistant principal in La Mirada Symphony and from time to time participates in several different orchestras around the area. As a member of Ocdamia Strings shes enjoys making special moments of people's lives unforgettably beautiful.
